With the lifting of the mask mandate in Virginia, we will allow patients who are fully vaccinated to enter Bristow dental care without a face mask or face shield starting Monday 05/17/2021. You are no longer required to wait in your vehicle if you would prefer not to.

 We will not require proof of vaccination, but we ask for responsible and respectful cooperation with this revised policy, also by rescheduling your appointment if you are unwell.  Face coverings will still be required if sitting in the waiting area in consideration of other patients who are not fully vaccinated or at a higher risk.

We at Bristow dental continue to recommend that all patients and potential patients, especially those who are at higher risk, wear a mask or shield. We will continue to monitor and update the Covid policy with CDC guidance.

Dr. Evelyn Poku-Kwateng, DDS

Dr. Evelyn Poku-Kwateng is a graduate of New York University College of Dentistry. Originally from Ghana, West Africa, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1993 followed by a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 1998 from the University of Ghana Dental School. After relocating to the United States, she repeated her education in America to comply with US licensing laws which require dentists to earn a dental degree from an American University. In 2006, Dr. Poku-Kwateng received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the prestigious NYU College of Dentistry. She is a member of American Dental Association and Virginia Dental Association. She lives in Haymarket, Virginia with her family. Whenever she has spare time, Dr. Poku-Kwateng, known as “Dr. Evelyn” enjoys spending time with her family, attending church activities, volunteering and reading.

With more than 10 years of experience, Dr. Evelyn is known for her caring and gentle style. She is attentive to the fears and apprehensions of children as well as adults, and takes the time needed to ensure that each visit is a comfortable one. She enjoys the close interaction with her patients and the satisfaction that comes from improving the health, comfort and overall appearance of her clientele.

Dr. Evelyn’s curious nature and quest for knowledge about the latest technology and treatments add to her vision of practicing modern dentistry.
